Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting will be on Sunday 30th April at 11:00am in the church. The Agenda, 2022 APCM minutes and the 2022 Report and accounts will be available nearer the time.
Forms to nominate Church Wardens, Deputy wardens, Deanery Synod representatives and PCC members are available from the wardens or the PCC secretary [email protected] to whom completed forms should be returned. Please remember to get peoples’ permission before submitting. Those nominated (or otherwise taking part in the meeting) who are not currently on the parish electoral role will also need to complete an Electoral Roll application form not later than FRIDAY 14th April. Deanery Synod and PCC representatives must have been on the roll for six months prior to that date.
A copy of the revised Electoral Roll will be available for inspection in the church porch from Saturday 15 April or by application to the PCC secretary.
Damian Luke writes: Most of you will no doubt be aware, in the last couple of weeks of the stabbings that have taken place in Croydon. Added to that, we have also had an increase in the number of robberies, knife incidents and disorder involving students from schools across the borough.
Sadly, the areas around Church Street have become the new crime hotspots. In the past 4 weeks, there have been serious incidents around this area, which some of us see as a call on Croydon Churches to rise up again and prayer walk the new area.
It would be nice if we can get 200-300 people out on Sunday 2nd April to start a prayer walk at 3pm to Church Street. We will encourage people to arrive early so we can start promptly.
Together, we can, through our prayers, confront the evil forces that want to destroy our young people
Let’s make our presence felt and let’s keep our streets safe.
