LENT LUNCHES 2023 Saturday 25th February

Tamberlin Room 12 until 2.00pm

Dear friends!
The war in Ukraine has been going on for a year now, people are dying every day from hostilities, these are irreparable losses, but we can help and save many lives.

We are raising money to buy tourniquets (devices to temporarily stop bleeding from large vessels). The price of one certified tourniquet is between 31 and 45 pounds. We will buy and give these tourniquets to the Tactical Medicine North.  They train the military in first aid and give first aid kits and tourniquets.  You can see the work of this organization here https://www.facebook.com/tacmed.north

One tourniquet, one saved life!

Please come and support us – we make great soup! From Tetiana and Mariia

Revd. William Wilks (19th October 1843 – 2nd March 1923)

To mark 100 years since his death, everyone is invited to join Lucy to commemorate this important figure in our community. With over 100 knitted Shirley Poppies to lay across his grave, we will mark the moment at 10.30am on Thursday 2nd March in St. John’s churchyard and then head back to The Wilderness for tea and cake as well as a guided tour by Lucy who will show you Wilks’ legacy in all its glory.
