Christian Aid Count Your Blessings 2020. As all the staff are working from home, and the Lower Marsh offices currently closed, Christian Aid ask that any donations resulting from using their Lent Devotional this year be paid please either on line via caid.org.uk/lent or by phoning 020 7523 2269 to pay by card, and not by posting them cheques.
Christian Aid Week in May is going be very different in 2020 as no House to House envelopes delivery/collection, and no sociable fund raising events, are going to be possible. Direct donations are therefore vital to fund their work with partners around the world tackling not just climate change, but also covid-19. Thank you.

Loveliest of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough,
And stands about the woodland ride
Wearing white for Eastertide.
Now, of my threescore years and ten,
Twenty will not come again,
And take from seventy springs a score,
It only leaves me fifty more.
And since to look at things in bloom
Fifty springs are little room,
About the woodlands I will go
To see the cherry hung with snow.

It was the brain child of Charles Marriot, he has been beavering away since editing and producing a lasting reminder of this amazing concert,
