Our established group needs some volunteers to help us continue.

Palace for Life – Free Community Sports – Croydon/Bromley/Sutton

The Bishop of Croydon has asked us to share the following information:

Palace for Life Foundation has sent us information on their free Premier League Kicks sessions – multi-sport (but predominately football-focused) group activities, targeted at the least advantaged and designed to create stronger, safer communities by diverting young people away from crime and anti-social behaviour.

“The Bereavement Journey”

An opportunity to attend “The Bereavement Journey” in Croydon, a nationally and internationally recognised course.

The Bereavement Journey® is a place to talk – for loss needs to be processed for our physical and mental health and wellbeing. Unresolved grief can also affect our attitudes, relationships and attainment.

The Bereavement Journey consists of 7 Sessions of films and discussion for anyone, whether grieving a recent death, or wanting to explore a previous bereavement that may be unresolved. Each attendee will receive a Guest Manual, with the course facilitated by experienced volunteers.

The Bereavement Journey can benefit those in anticipatory grief.

Topics include:

• Attachment, separation and loss

• The pain and responses of grief

• Delayed and suppressed grief

• Moving forward healthily

Dates: Monday October 16 – Monday November 27 2023

Time:  7pm for a 7.15pm start – Finish 9.30pm

Venue: Emmanuel Centre, Rockhampton Road, CR2 7AQ   (Room F4)
